Won’t you take me with you if you’ve gotta leave It won’t be hard to make room in your backseat Right beside your suitcase, there I would sleep And everyone would miss you except for me ‘Cause there you would be—right next to me. For my father and my mother, it wouldn’t take long Before they all would wonder where I had gone But then they would remember the words to this song “Wherever she is headed is where I belong.” Where I belong Distance is no match for love is no match for love Distance is no match for love is no match for love Won’t you take me with you, I can’t just stay I’d have to come and see you anyhow, anyway I’d drive for countless hours if that’s what it takes ‘Cause any distance from you is too far away Too far away Won’t you take me with you if you’ve gotta leave Oh take me with you Baby take me with you if you’ve gotta leave

David Bowie is my hero. D-D-D-David, David Bowie Where would this world be without Space Oddity I don’t know. I don’t know. Would we be lost without Mr. Stardust, I think so I think so. I think so. But I don’t know. All I know… David Bowie is my hero. D-D-D-David, David Bowie “Wham bam thank you ma’am” is part of who I am Deep within, within my soul. Is it so wrong the Labyrinth theme song taught me all All I know. All I know About rock’n’roll. And all I know… David Bowie is my hero. D-D-D-David, David Bowie The only reason I let my hair grow Is David Bowie, David Bowie. Starman save us all with space-age rock’n’roll. Save our souls with rock’n’roll. Starman save our ears from Pink and Britney Spears Save us all from radio. From radio. Oh ground control (ground control) save us all David Bowie you’re my hero D-D-D-David, David Bowie David Bowie you’re my hero Oh, Sir David. David Bowie.

Mistakes 04:05
I’m just a boy; I don’t know sorrow, But sorrow sure knows me. I’d give my heart for you to borrow Maybe then you’d see. You’d see… Tell me what am I doing wrong girl What am I doing wrong? Tell me what am I doing wrong girl What am I doing wrong? Doo Doo Doo Do Doo Do Do Do Doo I’m just a child; don’t know what love is It’s just a word within a song. Well put yourself into my shoes And tell me that I’m wrong. I’m wrong… Tell me what am I doing wrong girl What am I doing wrong? Tell me what am I doing wrong girl What am I doing wrong? Doo Doo Doo Do Doo Do Do Do Doo I guess my best ain’t enough I guess my best ain’t enough I try, but don’t measure up I guess my best ain’t enough But it’d be worse giving up. Tell me what am I doing wrong girl What am I doing wrong?

Ghost 03:52
And I promise I will haunt you As soon as I die ‘Cause thoughts of you, oh, they haunt me Every day of my life And what kills me the most You’re not even a ghost You’re not a ghost My blood turns cold to hear your name girl Shivers shoot down my spine And you’re driving me insane girl Without even trying And what kills me the most You’re not even a ghost You’re not a ghost You’re not even a ghost You’re not a ghost

Every thought, every thought that you think of me If you ever do In my heart, in my heart there will always be A million more of you More of you I’m not good at goodbyes. Parting words, like sharpened knives, Pierce quick and concise. You don’t know it hurts ‘til the final slice To see you leave, see you leave oh it brings me pain But I won’t waste our time I would cry, I would cry myself insane If tears could change your mind Change your mind I’m not good at goodbyes. Parting words, like sharpened knives, Pierce quick and concise. You don’t know it hurts ‘til the final slice Promise me it’s not the end Promise me it’s not the end

I don’t know, I don’t know what Adam saw in Eve That he could not find in all the snakes and beasts She’s a killer, an animal. It’s no different now It only takes a single bite for her to bring you down You were built to break my heart And I was built to be ripped apart My expectations were so great But love is revenge on the human race “Bone of bone, and flesh of flesh” woman took from man As time went on there was nothing left; she’d taken all he had First his soul and then his heart, then every ounce of joy Was this the plan from the start? Was she created to destroy? You were built to break my heart And I was built to be ripped apart My expectations were so great But love is revenge on the human race And the fall of man Came not with what he ate And the fall of man Came the day that Eve was made You were built to break my heart And I was built to be ripped apart My expectations were so great But love is revenge on the human race Love is revenge on the human race

Oh vanity it grips not by the hands, but by the lips How I hate the way it feels, but I love the way it tastes You’ll never be replaced You’ll never be replaced Oh tragedy exists, hidden deep within each kiss How I love the way it feels, but I hate the way it tastes You’ll never be replaced You’ll never be replaced I know it’s just a waste My mind cannot erase That smile, that pretty face That smile, that pretty face You’ll never be replaced You’ll never be replaced You will never be replaced.

Tell me what did I do To deserve falling in love with you Oh and it’s such a crime I have to win your heart, but you stole mine You know you are to blame For driving this innocent boy insane Girl and I’m such a mess It’s not fair I’m a wreck—you couldn't care less Oh misery, Please be good to me Oh can’t you see What love’s done to me It’s led me here to misery. Tell me what did I do To deserve falling in love with you Tell me how does it end Does misery lead to love again? Oh misery, Please be good to me Oh can’t you see What loves done to me It’s led me here to misery. It’s led me here to this… It’s led me here to misery

Tried, tried to write you a song You’d always sing along But this is not that song Do Doo Do Do But as long as we’re playing this song You might as well sing along We’re all in this together As long as we’re playing this song You might as well sing along ‘Cause life won’t last forever Tried, tried to write a new song The whole world would sing along But this is not that song Do Doo Do Do But as long as we’re playing this song You might as well sing along We’re all in this together As long as we’re playing this song You might as well sing along ‘Cause life won’t last forever Tried, tried to write you a song You’d always sing along But this is not that song Well prove me wrong La la la la la la la…. But as long as we’re playing this song You might as well sing along We’re all in this together As long as we’re playing this song You might as well sing along ‘Cause life won’t last forever

Sometimes wish that it was just like in the movies Everyone finds true love, but will it be the same Will my happy ending be worth all of this pain It’s always so romantic on the silver screen By the time the story ends It all works out so perfectly Too bad it’s not reality It’s just pretend I know that happy endings are just make believe Real life is much too sad Or maybe they’re just not for me ‘Cause that’s the way it seems to be From where I’m at Sometimes wish that it was just like in the movies Everyone finds true love, but will it be the same Will my happy ending be worth all of the pain It’s always so romantic on the silver screen By the time the story ends It all works out so perfectly Too bad it’s not reality It’s in our heads...

about

Equal parts dark and orchestral as it is warm and melodic, The Modern Electric have coined the term “cinematic pop” to define their sound. Considered to be the aural counterpart to 8mm film, cinematic pop is organic, soulful, and saturated in emotion. Their debut album is a soundtrack to real-life heartache, but has the passion to fit any silver screen love story such as Garden State or The Graduate. Influences include Arcade Fire, Clem Snide, Feist, and David Bowie—the latter having been immortalized in the band’s unforgettable homage, “David Bowie (Save Us All).”
